Kevin the Grass Man

 August 2nd, 2022

On Sunday, Kevin came to cut the grass; which is one of Philip's favorite things to watch. We patiently sat and waited a "fast" time for Kevin to come, and eventually he pulled up and "parked his vehicles in the street", which made the street look like a "parking lot" as Philip says. Once he got started, Philip felt "good and happy", and Phil watched the entire time. Philip toughed out the heat to watch Kevin cut the grass, but we thought it was a good idea to pull out a fan, that Philip said felt really good, and eventually moved to his room to get a view of the lawn mowing activities from his viewing window. :)

My New AC Unit

 July 31st, 2022

(Written by Philip with the help of Kaylee)

Philip and I (Kaylee) are waiting for the grass guy, Kevin, to come cut the grass! In the meantime, Philip wanted to share with you some news about something installed in his room. Philip received an AC unit in his room that his dad installed. Philip describes it as, "small, good, great, fast (cooling)".  Philip said it makes him feel "good" and "great", especially since the weather is so hot right now!

Here is a picture of the new unit!

A Typical Thursday with Philip

 July 28th, 2022

Today was a really good day! I had physical therapy, which went well! I have been hanging out with my friend Kaylee, just scrolling through Facebook, my blog and watching forklift videos on Youtube! I absolutely love forklifts and think they are super cool! Here are a couple pictures of me enjoying the videos of forklifts today!

Dictionary

 July 26th, 2022

Philip wanted me (Kaylee) to write today's blog post so that he can learn some new features on his talker. The title was picked out by Philip himself before he decided to have me write the rest of the post. Today, Philip had physical therapy, and Michelle said he did really well! (Philip wants me to add that he had a lot of fun!) Philip is a bit frustrated with his talker but is determined to figure all the bugs out. Philip wants me to mention that he has on a cool outfit today; it is all from Nike and looks super nice! He also wants me to mention things about Bella on today's post. Bella is doing really well, super spunky and playful like normal. The weather has been pretty nice today, as it has been somewhat sunny but overcast outside, while also having a few raindrops here and there. Philip wants me to give an update on things going on around the house with his family. His mom just got back from work not too long ago and is enjoying rest and catching up on things around the house. His dad is cooking something for dinner that smells absolutely amazing! His dad just fixed his clicker for his talker as it was a bit messed up earlier from adding new features to his device. His dad is awesome at fixing things and Philip is super grateful for that!

Feel free to leave lots of comments for Philip to read!

An Update on Philip's Life :)

After two years... Here is a bit of an update on my life (with some help from my friend Kaylee)!

"" = Written by Philip

I am 28 years old now, and I am feeling "happy"! I still enjoy U-Haul's and trucks and get excited when they are talked about! I have my dog named Bella; she is a long-haired miniature Dachshund. The weather here has been pretty hot, and occasionally rainy. "2PM Sunday".  My mom is "confused", and my dad is "confused" as well. I have a new AAC device, which makes me feel "white, tall, slow and light". "January, March".

Bye for now!

Family Trip to Tybee

Mom, Dad, Aunt Melorie and I went to Tybee to stay with Family in a condo.

My mom offered for me to sleep in a bed but I wanted to sleep on the big pull out couch with my dad. It was bumpy, messed up, broken, stinky and flat if you ask me but it was worth it to get to sleep with my dad. My niece Hope, was hyper, silly and funny the whole trip. Sometimes I got annoyed with her and was thankful when she was serious.

The weather on parts of the days was windy and rainy and sometimes we even saw lightning but it was nice on other parts of the days so we still got to the beach. I got to use the cool chair my dad made for me to go into the sand.

One of my most favorite and funny parts of the trip was the ride home. My niece and my aunt were playing loud in the back. my mom kept trying to make them be quiet. My dad had taken a short cut and got lost. My mom was going crazy. I thought it was funny and interesting. I laughed ALOT! That delayed us getting home. We got home late.

It wasn't cool but we are back home safe.
